Captains Report
The 14th of March’s Monthly Medalist was Adam Walker with a nett 70, and the final round of the DeGaris Lawyers Summer Eclectic was also played and was won by Liam Chant with John Reynolds the runner up.
The 21st of March the club held the Champion of the Monthly Medalist, where the winner was one of the 12 Monthly medalist for the year. This year was won by Adam Walker with a nett 72. The same day we held the re run of the Presidents trophy and this was won by Ty Lang with a nett 66.
The 28th of March was the final round of the Wimberina Summer Stableford Competition sponsored by The Bailey Family. Scott Bowering was this year’s winner with total points of the 5 rounds of 177.
The 11th of April was the first Monthly Medal of the new winter season for the club. This was won by Simon Beggs with a nett 70. It was also the first qualifying rounds of the Club Championships which was brought forward from our regular time of September.
The committee has also started up Sunday competitions after member suggestions. We came up with a way of holding the comps without making any extra work for our volunteers. We decided to have only online bookings and only allow scoring with the updated Mi Score App. No card scoring will be allowed. Its now been running for the last 3 Sundays with an average of 25 players over the weeks. The club hopes the day keeps being another successful comp day.
The 18th of April we held the 2nd qualifying round of the club championships and we also held the Mark Pretty Perpetual Trophy which was won by Ben Gordon with a nett 70.
The last of the club Championships qualifying rounds will be held on the 2nd of May as well as the May Monthly Medal. The following Sunday will be the quarter and semi finals with the Final being on the 17th May. Good Luck to all Players this year.

Hole in One
Congratulations to Geoff Cameron who scored a Hole in One on the 13th Hole during a Stableford Competition on Saturday 7th March.
Geoff was the lucky recipient of a $100 voucher, kindly sponsored by Millicent Tyre Centre.

Women’s Golf News
Shylie Rymill Foursomes
There were 13 teams entered to play our Shylie Rymill Foursomes event in conjunction with our Club Handicap Foursomes Qualifier on 29th April.
This years winners of The Women’s Shylie Rymill Foursomes event were Bec Shanks and Annie MacLennan with a Nett 72.5 followed closely by Runners up Debbie Tincknell and Bronwyn Clarke with Nett 73.
As this is a Statewide Event the winners card will now be forwarded to Golf Aust (SA) office to be compared with other teams across SA. State Winners will be announced in October.
Club Handicap Foursomes Championship
Club Handicap Foursomes Championship – a draw has been posted for the top 8 qualifiers to play their Handicap Match Play rounds over the course of the season with the final in October. Please check your Conditions of Play. Match Play score cards are in the change room.
Gross winners – Kirsty Bailey and Mary Winser (92) will represent the Club in the District Championships at Mt Gambier GC in June. Kirsty and Mary received a Gift Voucher from new Sponsor Fiona Telfers “Immerse – Soul Body“.
Pennant Report
Unfortunately our two Millicent teams didn’t make the Pennant Final this year. The ultimate winners were Lucindale A Grade and Div 2 and Penola Div 1. Many thanks to all of our girls who made the effort to travel and play. Maybe 2027 will be our year!!

Good Friday Ambrose
36 Teams participated in the Good Friday Ambrose Competition.
The 144 players consisted of Millicent Members, visitors from other Golf Clubs including Glenelg, Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Blue Lake, Robe, Port MacDonnell, Penola, Beachport and Edenhope, along with many Non Golfers from the surrounding district.
Some teams dressed for the occasion in matching attire and the BBQ Fish and Sausages provided by the cooks, Geoff and Tank were very much appreciated by the players along with the refreshments provided on the course by Andy Fisher and Paul Bosco.
Mayura Tasting Room very kindly donated a Dining Experience for the Winners – Cameron Haggett, Chris Hill, Colby Watson and Brian Watson who had a nett 52.75.
Runners Up – Shannon Smith, Matt Warren, Andrew Ferguson, Shane Westerman 53.5
Third – Jamie Muhovics, Heidi Muhovics, Fiona Telfer, Stephen Coote 53.75
