Sixteen ladies played a Stroke round for the Monthly Medal on Wednesday 3rd October. It was also “Tee off” for Breast Cancer Day whereby each player donated 10 cents per put to Breast Cancer.
The volunteers are to be commended for the excellent condition of the course at the moment, and this was reflected in the scores, with Rosalie Hunt having the best score of the day to win the B Grade Competition with a nett 70. Runner up was Glenis Skeer with nett 73 and in third place was Michele Smith with nett 76.
The A Grade leader was Mary Winser with a nett 72, following up from her good round on the weekend. Alex Lambert came in second with a nett 73 and next was Helen Chilton with net 75.
The C Grade only had two participants and it was Sue Ireland with a nett 71 having a win over Pam Packer on nett 79.
Nearest to the Pin on the 3rd was won by Helen Chilton and the second shot for the C Grade to the 17th Green was Pam Packer.
The Nine Hole Competition was won by Rosalie Hunt with a nett 33 and the Puttting Competition was won by Carmel Cory with 29 putts.
The Long Drives on the 9th hole were won by Alex Lambert for the A Grade and Rosalie Hunt for the B Grade.
Next Wednesday’s Competition is Stableford, and a reminder that the OP Williams Mixed Pinehurst Foursomes will be on Sunday 14th October, so if you would like to play, please place your name on the sheet at the Club.
