14 Ladies arrived at the Millicent Golf Club to play a Par round, however, after a very heavy downpour, only 10 took to the course. Luckily the rain eventually cleared and there were some excellent scores returned by those who completed the 18 holes. Julie McKenzie won the Competition with 1 up, and also had the best score on the Front 9 holes to claim that prize as well. Second place was Bronwyn Clarke with 1 down and the reliable Sue Ireland was in third place with a score of 2 down. The Nearest to Pin Prizes were won by the Club, as no one played the perfect shot to the nominated greens. Next week’s competition is a Stroke Round, Monthly Medal, 2nd Round President’s Trophy, Final round Club & Grade Championships, Putting Competition, Long Drives for all Grades and IGA Supermarket Trophy. On Tuesday 5th September, the Millicent Golf Club Ladies are holding their Open Day, and taking on a new format in playing a Pinehurst Foursomes. We encourage Club Members and Visitors to nominate for the day, either by phoning the Clubhouse 87348124 or the Ladies Captain, Helen Chilton 0435 898 311, alternatively entries may be emailed to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Great prizes will be on offer, thanks to the very generous sponsorship of Kimberly Clark Australia and DiGiorgio Family Wines.
